Hey everyone, James here.
Apologies for being so late with this. There's been a surprising amount of issues trying to fix the computer and reset the password for the account.
So, on Sunday I drove to the New Forest. Every minute and mile gave me a feeling of dread. Heh, I had to stop several times because I thought I was seeing things. It’s surprising it didn’t actually happen sooner!
When I finally got there, I saw a black shape in the distance. I wasn’t sure if it was another hallucination or not, but I made my way towards it regardless. As I got closer, I noticed that the figure was definitely no hallucination, and that he wore all black.
With only a few metres to go, I knew who it was. Krohe was standing there, he arrived like he said he would. No tricks, no fakes, nothing. He was just...staring at me, with a shit-eating grin on his face.
"He-hey James! Good to see you're alive!"
I scowled at him. "You better have a good reason for all of this. Cos honestly? I am through with your crap."
Krohe laughed. "Awwww, is someone still butthurt about having their lover killed?" he said mockingly. "Don't worry, it was nothing personal. It was all part of the plan, that's all."
At that point, I wanted to kill him badly. He just kept humming to himself, swinging his arms from side-to-side. Eventually, he took out a purplish stone from an inside pocket of his jacket, and shoved it in my face.
"...What the hell is that?" I said, confused.
Krohe cackled. "The STONE! I took it RIGHT from Paulie's home and knifed the poor bastard!" He laughed some more. "He should be alright tough, seeing as he can't die. That's why I did it repeatedly!"
I was scared; he had obviously changed after faking his death. He was more...twisted, sinister, crazy.
"And guess what?" he whispered, "I already uuuuuused iiiiiiit~!"
He pulled out a large knife, the blade shining in the sunlight. Only one thing was on my mind: I was going to be on the end of it.
I back away slowly. "You're crazy... YOU'RE FUCKING CRAZY, KROHE!"
All he did was laugh. He laughed and laughed, insanity in his eyes. "I KNOW! And guess what?" He grabbed me by the neck and pressed his knife gently onto my face. "You're fucking DEAD, KID!"
The sound of a gun clicking could he heard behind him.
He turned round to see who it was. It was none other than the hooded person. The same one who shot Corona in the head and killed off most of the Ferrymen. The same one who was following Krohe the whole time.
The one who was the first victim of his challenges.
Matthew was alive.
I stared at my friend in complete shock. "Matt?!" I said, "Is that really you?"
He remained silent as he threw the gun to the side and brought out a knife of his own. This one, however, had blood on it; not fresh at all, quite aged. As soon as it was brought out, Krohe flinched and loosened his grip on me.
"So...long time no see, buddy" Krohe said nervously. "You been working out? I can tell y-"
Matthew's knife was pushed close to his throat.
He had chaged since I last saw him. There were bags under his bloodshot eyes, his skin had a grey tinge, he had lost a lot of weight... And it looked as if something was carved into his hands.
"You did this to me" he said in a low, dry voice. "I'm becoming one of you... He told me to end this all."
As the knife was pushed further into Krohe's throat, the temperature dropped suddenly as the clouds started to gather. It felt like something was gazing into my soul from all directions.
As the light from Krohe's eyes slowly faded, he yelled in a gurgled voice. "World...help me..." He was there, watching the whole thing. With a final bloody gasp, Krohe was no more.
Matthew stared at Him, maintaining eye contact the whole time. A faint whisper could be heard, but not a word could be made from it. For my friend, however, it must've been bad, as he crept away slowly, fear etched on his face.
I blinked as Matthew screamed. The sight was grizzly: a long black tendril had pierced his chest, blood seeping fromthe wound at an alarming rate. He looked into my eyes in desperation, hoping that I could save him somehow.
He was beyond saving.
Two more tendrils attacked him; one passing through the bottom of the spine, the other through his mouth and into the brain. He pulled them out and let Matthew's body fall onto the ground with a thud.
What happened next was...a blur. Someone came out of nowhere and talked to me briefly, took the stone from Krohe and disappeeared, telling Him not to harm me.
The next thing I know, I'm on my bedroom floor with a major headache.
My friends are gone, and everything is just...too much to handle. It's all over, so I'm just going to change the password to something random and never touch it again.
To anyone who's stuck with me through all this, thanks a lot. You were silent, but around to see what happened.
To anyone who's read only this post and a few others, you're right in thinking it was confusing as fuck.
To everyone though, thank you for your time.
I've been MoreChoice, and this is the end of an absolutely crazy story.
